The nobility of a tradition.
The Celeste side table is a unique and inspiring piece that pays homage to rural workers in Portugal. Composed of a Portuguese cork basket resting on a marble cylinder from the Alentejo and topped by a half-sphere, the Celeste table unites two distinct shapes in a balance challenge that results in a differentiated design.
This piece represents the strength and character of rural women who, during traditional harvest times, carried baskets of grapes on their backs. The wicker basket on the Celeste table is a direct reference to this activity and the marble cylinder symbolizes the strength and robustness of rural workers.
In addition to its historical and cultural significance, the Celeste table is an elegant and sophisticated decorative piece that stands out in any setting. Its distinctive design draws attention to the way in which the two parts of the table come together, creating a harmonious balance between natural materials and modern aesthetics.
