Ethically produced in Europe
This product was produced in Portugal, with regulated and dignified labor practices.
FSC certified Portuguese cork
Cork is a 100% natural, recyclable and biodegradable material.
recycled materials
Fabric from Portuguese textile industry waste.
Piece of furniture produced to order, without excessive production.
Each piece is manufactured after your order, not mass produced.
In this way, we avoid wasting resources and excess production.
In honor of tradition.
Inspired by the “Varinas”, so called women from the lands of Var (currently OVAR) in Aveiro, Portugal, who used to go by train to Porto and Lisbon with a wheel on their heads, carrying a basket full of fresh fish to sell.
This wheel was constructed with a small circular pad, coated with hand-woven felt residues.
This is how the Varina side table appears, produced with one of the most sustainable materials: cork.
With the purpose of honoring the noble and artisanal task of these women of the land.
An appeal to emotion, simplicity and quality of life.

Learn more about Go GreenCork is one of the most sustainable materials available on the market, as it is recyclable and biodegradable.
Extracted from the bark of the cork oak, a tree native to the Mediterranean, and grown responsibly in Portugal, Spain and other European countries.
One of the main characteristics of cork is its resistance.
Capable of withstanding high temperatures, impacts and compression, making it an ideal choice for everything from wine corks to wall coverings.
Cork is naturally waterproof, fire and wear resistant.
With highly renewable production and low environmental impact.
The extraction of bark from the cork oak tree is carried out every nine years, which means that the tree can be harvested several times throughout its useful life, without harming its growth.
